Lansdowne grew up around Lansdowne Resort, home to 45 holes of golf across courses designed by Robert Trent Jones II and Greg Norman, set against the Potomac River Valley. As the resort expanded through the late 1990s and 2000s, a full residential community grew alongside it — one that quickly became one of Loudoun's most sought-after addresses, with homes built by Van Metre, NV Homes, Brookfield, and other established builders.
