I started working exclusively with Karen Daily at EKKO Title in 2021, during the COVID pandemic. In Virginia, buyers may select their title companies, but I had noticed on a few of my transactions in which I represented SELLERS, that several title companies were disorganized/terrible at communicating/and/or not committed to keeping personal and financial data of their customers CONFIDENTIAL. As a former CPA, keeping personal and financial data secure has been one of my TOP priorities in real estate, as I know that there are several bad actors who try to steal earnest money deposits (EMD’s) or redirect wire transfers. Karen will hop on phone calls with my clients to help them set up LLC’s (common practice for real estate investors) and she will go to clients homes to handle settlements in person at the kitchen table (which is greatly appreciated by some of my older clients). I have too many stories to share about how Karen has helped remove the “cloud” on titles and ensured that a deal going sideways can get back on track, ensuring that buyers and sellers close on time.
